Branding/Copywriter

I worked with Brambly and Rob Wooten (illustrator) on an initial branding project to create a series of characters to help frame their concept and represent their different wines. Brambly is an urban winery, tucked into the back of Scott’s Addition in Richmond, VA. They wanted to portray the space as a magical and rural escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Concept Copy:

The manor of Brambly sits at the end of Belleville St., bordered to the west by steaming mechanisms of modern freight and to the south and east by the bustling city. At the heart of Brambly lies The Secret Spoor. It’s here that beings from all walks of life come in search of restoration and connection. An enchanted land in a very real place, where joyous people gather over banquets of cheeses, bread, and libations; while the creatures of the land flit to and fro, curiously observing and standing dutiful watch over their esteemed guests. Brambly is a common- ground full of uncommon virtues and encounters– a place to celebrate, to rest and explore.
